We’re emerging from the solstice and the New Moon in Cancer on June 25. The Sun and Moon were joined by Jupiter, who entered Cancer on June 9 and will spend the next year here. Cancer is where Jupiter is exalted, or in other words, it’s incredibly happy and resourced here, able to expand and bless with enthusiasm and momentum.
Cancer rules caretaking, nourishment, family, home, protection, memory keeping, tradition, and emotional regulation. We’re already seeing Jupiter at work, bringing some much-needed good news on these fronts. On Tuesday, we saw Zohran Mamdani, a democratic socialist, win the mayoral primary in NYC. He ran on a platform of affordable housing, free childcare, rent freezes, and food accessibility (city-owned grocery stores!) — all deeply Cancerian values. A Jupiter in Cancer transit will make clear: power to the people!!
